Hiring Policy for Drivers

1. All applicants must be at least twenty three (23) year of age.

2. All applicants must have a minimum of two (2) years of recent verifiable experience in driving tractor/trailer combination.

3. Applicants will be required to submit a current Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) which is no more that seven (7) days old. Photo copies are not acceptable.

4. Maximum allowable number of moving violations, traffic accidents, or combination thereof thereof shall be two (2) in the past thirty-six (36) months. Applicants may be asked to furnish copies of police reports on their past accidents. Equipment and other non-moving violations shall be considered on a per case basis.

5. Applications will not be considered from those showing convictions for drug and alcohol related offenses, reckless driving, hit and run, driving while license is suspended or revoked. Excessive Failure to appear may also cause disqualification.

6. Applicants must complete the application on site, in their own hand. Each blank on the application form must show an entry.

7. All applicants must be willing and able to work weekends, nights, and holidays. Heavy lifting, climbing, working at heights, and other strenuous physical exercise may also be required.

8. Applicants will be given the road and written tests as required by DOT and any other test or exam deemed necessary by the motor carrier.

9. After acceptance of the applicants references, previous employment information and the passage of the road and written tests, the applicant will be required to take and pass a physical examination and back evaluation if needed at a carrier approved medical facility.

10. All applicants will be required to undergo and pass a drug screen as prescribed by Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations at a company approved testing facility.

11. Applicants must meet and comply with all provision of Part 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations prior to first dispatch.

12. Applicants must be, and remain, neat and clean in appearance.

13. All applicants will be given an indoctrination and orientation to familiarize them with company policies and procedures.
